Hi, I’m Dr. Stockton - a Georgia native and proud Gainesville girl at heart. Caring for people’s vision isn’t simply my profession; it’s a privilege I value deeply.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Samford University before receiving my Doctor of Optometry degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2009. I then completed a residency in Geriatrics and Low Vision at the Birmingham VA Rehabilitation and Low Vision Center, where I developed a special passion for caring for patients with complex visual needs. That experience shaped my belief that clear, comfortable vision is not a luxury - it is foundational to quality of life.

 

After residency, I spent five years serving patients in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 2015, my husband and I returned to Georgia and made Rome our home. I joined Harbin Clinic Eye Center, where I had the privilege of caring for patients of all ages for nine years alongside an exceptional team of providers.

 

Owning my own practice has always represented something more than independence - it is an opportunity to create a space where patients feel genuinely known, thoughtfully cared for, and never hurried. When the opportunity arose to continue the established practice of respected local optometrist Thomas Rees upon his retirement, it felt both meaningful and natural. I am honored to carry forward the trust he built in this community while elevating the experience through personalized, attentive care and modern technology.

 

At the heart of my practice is a simple philosophy: exceptional eye care should feel both refined and welcoming. Every patient - from young children to grandparents - deserves time, clarity, and compassion.

 

Outside the office, you’ll find me with my husband, our two boys, and Sandy the cat. We love hiking, traveling, live music, and a competitive game of tennis.
